Minutes of the meeting of Havercroft-with-Cold Hiendley Parish Council held in Havercroft and Ryhill Community Learning Centre on Wednesday 8 February 2017 at 7.00 pm.

The Parish Council paid their respects following the death of Parish CouncillorDennis Williamson who was a well-respected member of the Parish Council.Tributes were paid to Dennis regarding the diligence in which he undertook his duties as a Parish Councillor.

The Cherry tree has been removed from a parishioner€™s garden following the Council writing to WDH.

Minute 85    Minutes of the meeting held on the 11 January 2017

The minutes of the monthly meeting held on the 11 January 2017 were moved by Councillor R Massey and seconded by Councillor Mrs C Saul and were confirmed as a correct record.

It was confirmed that Inspector Brier would attend the Parish Council meeting on the 12 April 2017.

Minute 86.   District Councillors Reports

Resurfacing work on Madeley Road is currently been carried out with work still to be carried out on Hatfield Place.

Drainage works on the culver will be carried out when the water voles have moved on. Work to the downstream side can be carried out.

Minute 87.  Finance

The quarterly reconciliation has been completed to 31 December 2016 and was certified as correct by Councillor R Massey and Councillor Mrs C Flynn.

No meetings had been held.

Wakefield District Housing

Parking on Mulberry Avenue.

Resolved: To Inform Wakefield Highways of the problem

Wakefield Branch Meeting 9 February at Havercroft.         .

Minute 90.   Havercroft and Ryhill Community Learning Centre

Kids Kitchen to be held during the February half term.

CCTV to be updated in the Parish Hall from grant monies obtained.

CAB to be discussed at the next meeting.

Minute 91.  Havercroft Fun Run

To be discussed at the March meeting.

Minute 92.    HS2

Representatives to be invited to a special meeting of the Parish Council at a date to be arranged.

An open day is to be held on the 20 February at Crofton Community Centre

Letters and questionnaires are available in Havercroft Library.

Minute 93.   Crofton Drift Mine

Minute 94.   Havercroft Pond

The second stage on cleaning the pond will be carried out in February.

Minute 95.  Bush Wood

A lease be drawn up allowing a smallholder to lease a field in Bush Wood for agricultural use on an annual basis for a lease payment of £500

 Minute 96   Allotments

A meeting has been arranged for the 15 February to discuss Water being retained or not on the Wimpey allotments.

All allotment holders have been instructed to keep their Poultry in doors following information from DEFRA of outbreaks of Avian Flu.

Cash amounting to £110 has been received from the allotment account and will be used to pay for sundry items required on the allotments
