Minutes of the meeting of Havercroft-with-Cold Hiendley Parish Council held in Havercroft and Ryhill Community Learning Centre on Wednesday 3 October 2018 at 7.00 pm.
Present: Councillor A Manifield (Chairman) P Stockhill and E Brown.
Apologies: Councillor Mrs F Heptinstall Mrs C Saul (Vice Chairman) I Sanders
R Massey and Mrs M Massey.
The meeting was called to discuss the future of Havercroft and Ryhill Community Learning Project.
Councillors Mrs F Heptinstall and Mrs C Saul gave their apologies because they are employees of Havercroft and Ryhill Community Learning Project and would have had to declare a prejudicial interest. Councillor Mr and Mrs Massey were on holiday. Councillor I Sanders had a meeting in Wakefield.
Resolved: Under the Public Bodies (admission to Meetings) Act 1960 the public were excluded from this meeting because publicity would be prejudicial to the public interest by reason of the confidential nature of the business to be transacted
Minute 61. Havercroft and Ryhill Community Learning Project.
A document on the future of the Havercroft and Ryhill Community Learning Project was circulated to members.
The report outlined the current position, the implications of dissolution for the Havercroft and Rhill Community Learning Project and the implications for the Parish Council.
Members discussed the options available and discounted the dissolution of the Havercroft and Ryhill Community Learning Project and the Parish Council would give their support for it to continue as a Charity.
Current staffing and financial levels and proposed staffing and financial levels were discussed.
In order that sustainability for the Havercroft and Ryhill Community Learning Project a request was made for a reasonable lease.
Resolved: The report as presented to members was unanimously approved
The Parish Council to give Havercroft and Ryhill Community Learning Project a lease for a period of five years.
