Minutes of the Extraordinary meeting of
Havercroft-with-Cold Hiendley Parish Council held remotely on Monday 26th
October 2020 at 7:00 p.m.
Present: Councillors P Stockhill (Chair) R Massey (Vice Chair) E Brown, I
Sanders, Mrs T Tams-Hedges, D Pointon, M Beecher and A Pointon.
In attendance: N Stansby
Minute 99 Continuation
of the discussion from the Council meeting on Wednesday, 14th
October 2020
99.3 (Continued) Cllr R Massey declared an interest in
the debate but it was decided that he should be allowed to vote on the use of
The Office by The Learning Centre.
It was noted that The Office is not part of the lease
and that use of the room by the Foodbank is unauthorised. Nova negotiated a meeting with Ward Richards
on 3rd November 2020 but the Learning Centre voted not to allow Cllr
Sanders onto the board of trustees, despite their constitution saying that a
parish councillor should be a trustee.
Following further discussion, a vote took place and it
was decided that the Learning Centre would be given 28 days notice to clear the
office, so that it could be used by the Parish Council as intended originally.
There were 7 votes for the 28 day notice and 2 against.
99.4 It was also decided that an official complaint would be issued re hate comments on Facebook, to WMDC Legal Officer Gillian Marshall.
