Havercroft with Cold Hiendley Parish Council

Minutes of the Monthly Meeting of Havercroft-with-Cold Hiendley Parish Council held at The Havercroft & Ryhill Learning Centre on Wednesday the 20^th March 2024 at 7.00 p.m.

Present: Councillors P Stockhill, M Beecher, M Cooper, M Rusling, Y Lowe and the Clerk

Minute 87           Declarations of Interest

Cllrs Lowe, Rusling and Stockhill declared an interest in Agenda Item 9.

Minute 88           To approve the minutes of the parish council meeting on 15^th February 2024

The minutes were approved (Proposed by Cllr Cooper and Seconded by Cllr Stockhill).

Minute 89           Public Representations

There were no public representations at the meeting.

Minute 90           District Councillor’s Report

No report submitted.

Minute 91           Finance and Banking

1. Payments were approved and councillors were given an update on the current position. It was agreed to purchase four further copies of The Parish Councillor’s Guide 
2. Reminder will be issued to those on Oak Crescent who have not yet paid their invoices.
3. The increase in electricity bills was due to the contract expiring, it was agreed to compare prices and bring the information to the April meeting.

Minute 92           Havercroft & Ryhill Community Learning Centre

1. Still awaiting HoT from the consultant.
2. It was agreed to replace the boiler in the kitchen, which is used by the Business Units.

Minute 93           Allotments

It was agreed that those who have not paid their rent by 25^th March 2024, will have to either pay online or at the next Parish Council meeting in April.

Minute 94           Rycroft Leisure

There was no update.

Minute 95           Open Spaces & Green Spaces

1. It was agreed to give XXX permission to repair the access road but it was pointed out that the wear and tear was most likely caused by the bin wagons than the grass cutters. Cllr Stockhill will speak with T&D and the Clerk will acquire a copy of the deeds.
2. WMDC will pay for testing the 41 lampposts and residents will be allowed to sponsor the hanging baskets for £50 plus the cost of the sign.
3. The Clerk will send a letter to the house on Haverdale Road who has planted 5 trees on the Railway Cutting.
4. Cllr Stockhill will ask Dan Winter to dig drainage channels down the side of Havercroft Green.
