Matters raised by Members of the Public
An allotment holder was concerned and upset that a quantity of skinned fish had been deposited in the compost barrel causing a smell.
The matter has now been resolved but action will be taken against the perpetrator if it happens again.
A request to tender the allotments of a current allotment holder who has health problems.
A NHS employee has volunteered to look after and make any replacements to the defibrillator after each use.

The minutes of the monthly meeting held on the 9 May 2018 were moved by Councillor R Massey and seconded by Councillor Mrs C Saul I and were confirmed as a correct record.
Minutes of the Annual Meeting held on the 9 May 2018
The minutes of the Annual meeting were moved by Councillor Mrs F Heptinstall and seconded by Councillor R Massey and were confirmed as a correct record.
Minute 27. District Councillors Reports
(a) Fly Tipping in Havercroft particularly on Tupp Lane is being dealt with by the District Council.
(b) The Local Development Framework for Land suitable for Housing needs over a five year period is out for consultation with land identified in Havercroft.
(c) Havercroft Parent Forum organized an event where over 300 children and parents attended over the school holidays.
(d) A first aid course is to be held on the 21st June 2018.

(e) The old pit shaft is still the responsibility of Hargreaves the owners of the Coke Ovens for the next eighteen months.
(f) The problem of horses in the village has been resolved.
(g) Blocked gullies on Crescent Road and Cow Lane is still outstanding.
(h) Grass Cutting on the garage sites is a problem because it is not being cut by the Council.
(i) The Cats Eyes which have been removed will be replaced when the road is next resurfaced.
Minute 28. Finance
(a) May 2018 Accounts
The accounts for May 2018 in the sum of £16,057.67 were presented to members and moved by Councillor Mrs C Saul and seconded by Councillor R Massey and confirmed as a correct record.
(b) Summary of Accounts 2017-2018
The Summary of the Final Accounts were presented to members for information.
Minute 29. General Data Protection Regulations.
The Clerk confirmed that an audit had been completed on all the appropriate functions of the Council
Minute 30. Meeting with HS2
The Parish Council met with representatives of HS2 to update the Council on how HS2 would affect Havercroft following concerns raised at a previous meeting in relation to the possible closure of Newstead Lane.
Representatives confirmed that Newstead Road would not be closed but a new road would be built to run parallel with Newstead Lane from the top of Newstead to the bad bend just before the Low railway bridge
Minute 31. Dog Fouling Bins
This item was withdrawn until the July meeting.
Minute 32. Havercroft Memorial, Havercroft Green
The Parish Council has been informed that the bid for funding for work on Havercroft Green had been successful.
Orders have been placed for the Memorial and the World War 1 seats.

Resolved: That a grant of £100 be made to the Boar Cottage Charity.

District Councillor Mrs M Cummings had a Pecuniary Interest and left the meeting.
Resolved: That a Grant of £240 be made to Havercroft Parent Forum for the purchase of Polo shirts.

Minute 36. Allotments
Members visited Brier Lane to look at the water problem which due the dry weather had been resolved, a pond has formed on the adjacent owners land and when full would encroach on to the allotment.
The Clerk has again taken up with Yorkshire Water the leak on the highway outside the allotment and is waiting for a report.
The two allotments vacated on Brier Lane have been allocated.

Drains on Cow Lane and Crescent Road need attention
Garage Sites on Crescent Road to be discussed with the District Council.
