Minutes of the Meeting of Havercroft-with-Cold Hiendley Parish Council held at Havercroft & Ryhill Community Centre on Wednesday, 12th March 2025 at 7.00 p.m.
Present: Councillors M Cooper (Chair), M Beecher, C Rawlings, M Rusling, Clerk and District Councillors Ali and Cummings, plus six members of the public

Minute 87 Declarations of Interest
None were declared
Minute 88 To Approve the minutes of the meeting held on 12th February 2025
The minutes of the meeting held on 12th February 2025 were approved.
Minute 89 Public Representations
Members of the public raised issues regarding the annual rent for small plots, the possibility
of a skip on the Wimpey allotments plus a mini digger. The Clerk will inform
councillors of the costs at the next meeting.
Mrs X raised
the condition of a neighbouring allotment plot and an indirect request for a
shed was received but the Parish Council asked for further information before
making a decision.
Minute 90 District Councillor’s Report
District
Councillor Cummings gave the following update:
i)
The broken bollard at the top of The Green has
been repaired.
ii)
The overhanging brambles on Brier Lane have been
trimmed.
iii)
No update regarding the crossroads at the bottom
of the Green despite the District Councillors requesting a permanent solution
with Highways and a further accident.
iv)
There have been issues with parking on Crescent
Rd.
v)
Still no resolution to the shortage of buses.
Minute 91 Finance and IT
The following payments were approved:
WMDC Christmas lights and the annual boiler service.
Minute 92 Allotments
It was agreed to allow two residents
to lease plot 1 of the Wimpey allotments and for another resident to keep
rabbits.
Mr Y will be written to regarding the
condition of his allotment and given 28 days notice to clear.
Minute 93 Havercroft & Ryhill Community Learning Centre
The Chair and Clerk met with the
H&RCLC manager and it was agreed that the annual grant would be used to
improve the building up to £13,000 per annum.
Minute 94 Rycroft Leisure & Trading
The next Rycroft Leisure meeting is
on 3rd June 2025 at 2pm, followed by Rycroft Trading at 3pm.
Minute 94 Open Spaces & Green Spaces
The three paths have been cleared and
residents have thanked the Parish Council.
Minute 95 To receive information on any ongoing issues
The meeting which was arranged for 18th
March 2025 will be delayed until after the full council training on 24th
April 2025 at 6pm.
