Meeting Minutes

Minutes of the Meeting of Havercroft-with-Cold

Hiendley Parish Council held at Havercroft & Ryhill Community Centre on Wednesday,
12th February 2025 at 7.00 p.m.

Present: Councillors M Cooper (Chair), M Beecher, C Rawlings, Clerk and District
Councillors Ali, Cummings and Heptinstall

Apologies:  Cllrs Y Lowe and M Rusling. It was noted that Cllr Stockhill had not attended 6 meetings and therefore a casual vacancy would be advertised.

Minute 77           Declarations of Interest

None were declared

Minute 78           To Approve the minutes of the meeting held on 8th
January 2025

The minutes of the meeting held on 8th January 2025 were approved.

Minute 79           Public Representations

There were no public representations.

Minute 80           District Councillor’s Report

District Councillor Heptinstall attended the meeting to give the following update:

i)
Land at Tup Lane – Cllr Heptinstall to chase up
about the lock.

ii)
No update regarding the crossroads at the bottom
of the Green despite the District Councillors requesting a permanent solution
with Highways.

iii)
The overhanging brambles on Brier Lane have been
trimmed.

iv)
Any resident can register to be a snow warden,
1ton of grit is available to each parish council.

v)
The water leak on Brier Lane was reported by
Cllr Cummings but is a Yorkshire Water issue.

vi)
There is a consultation regarding the new name
of Whin View on Madely Rd but district councillors have objected to the change.

vii)
Cllr Alli has written to various people
regarding reduced bus services but new schedules were introduced on 5th
Jan and there is a bus driver shortage.

Minute 81           Finance and IT

The following payments were approved:
Path clearance, the grant to H&RCLC and the hanging baskets.

It was agreed to move to Virgin Bank
and to renew the website to .gov.uk, with councillors to have a say over the
new content.

Minute 82           Havercroft & Ryhill Community Learning Centre

The Chair and Clerk will meet with
the centre manager, with a view to working more closely together to serve the
community.

Minute 83           Allotments

It was agreed that Plots 1 & 12 could be fenced off.

Minute 84           Open Spaces & Green Spaces

The overgrown paths have been cleared
by contractors – three quotes were obtained

Owen took away the Christmas tree at
no extra cost, councillors thanked him and Cllr Beecher was thanked for helping
to erect it.  The Clerk will enquire with
WMDC regarding fitting the tree lights later this year.

Minute 85           To receive information on any ongoing issues

Cllr Cooper agreed to represent the
Parish Council at the Rycroft Trading meetings which are held every 2 months,
the next one is on 6th March 2025 at 3pm.
