Havercroft with Cold Hiendley Parish Council

Minutes of the Monthly Meeting of Havercroft-with-Cold Hiendley Parish Council held at The Havercroft & Ryhill Learning Centre on Wednesday the 10^th January 2024 at 7.00 p.m.

Present: Councillors P Stockhill, M Beecher, Y Lowe, District M Cummings, the Clerk.

Apologies: Councillor M Cooper and M Rusling, District Councillor Ali

Minute 67           Declarations of Interest

Cllrs Lowe and Stockhill declared an interest in Agenda Item 9.

Minute 68           To approve the minutes of the parish council meetings on 13^th December 2023

The minutes were approved (Proposed By Cllr Beecher and Seconded by Cllr Stockhill).

Minute 69           Public Representations

There were no public representations at the meeting.

Minute 70           District Councillor’s Report

1. Winn View has been demolished but is still attracting anti-social behaviour and mud on the main roads.  It is intended that 18 bungalows will be built for those 55 or over.
2. The Bollards, Bethan View have been approved via a Capital Grant for £4,100.
3. Alison Lowe the Deputy WY Mayor will be at the Learning Centre Friday 19^th January between 3.30-4.30 to listen to and respond to resident issues
4. There will be five Kid’s Kitchens this year, Councillor Stockhill kindly offered to give the Chairman’s Allowance towards the initiative.

Minute 71           Finance and Banking

1. Payments were approved and councillors were given an update on the current position. 

It was agreed to continue using Gallaghers for insurance coverage and to contact Eon to arrange new contract.

• Due to cost considerations, it was decided that only the Parish Council Chairman would have a designated email address.

Minute 72           Havercroft & Ryhill Learning Centre

There has been no further update from the consultant arranging ‘Heads of Terms’ for the new lease.

Minute 73           Allotments

Plot number 24 at the Wimpey Allotments, will be sectioned off into 4 smaller plots.

Minute 74           Rycroft Leisure

Nothing to report.

Minute 75           Open Spaces & Green Spaces

1.  O Holmes is to be asked to remove the tree on the Railway Cutting next to the new house.
2. Dan Winters will be asked to clear the paths down the side of the Green.
3. Cllr Beecher has not received any further information regarding clearing the pond.

Minute 76           Correspondence

A solicitor’s letter will be sent to a property for sale, which implies Parish Council land is part of the plot.

The next meeting will be held on Thursday 15^th February 2024 at the Havercroft and Ryhill Community Learning Centre at 7pm.
