Rycroft Leisure Centre
Rycroft Sports Centre provides a wide range of activities including: football, rugby, cricket, bowls, badminton, assisted cycling, majorettes, slimming club, karate and fitness suite.
The social/bar area is open seven days a week and hosts a weekly luncheon club, children’s parties, and gatherings for all occasions.
Rycroft Youth Centre provides recreation, social interaction, education and support for young people. It is open three evening a week and also undertakes detached work in the community.

Rycroft Leisure formally known as Havercroft and Ryhill Sports and Youth Centre is owned equally by Havercroft-with-Cold Hiendley Parish Council and Ryhill Parish Council and was built in 1998 following funding from Sport England of 1.1 million and a grant of 50k from Wakefield Council.
The Sports Centre was opened on the 30 October 1999 by Peter Box Leader of Wakefield Council.
In 2009 an extension was built onto the Sports Centre to provide a Youth Club, this was funded by a grant from Wakefield Council of 246K and was opened by Councillor Albert Manifield in February 2010.
Rycroft Leisure offers a wide range of sporting activities from youngsters to the elderly, it caters for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries etc., and provides facilities for Cricket, football, bowls, badminton, table tennis, Jujitsu, Majorettes and the Darby and Joan Club. There is also a fitness suite.

Everything across the page is FREE with the exception of the lunch club which is £4.50 for a 2 course meal and refreshments.
Library and other services
We are home to your local community library where you can access hundreds of books.
Membership is free and open to all. Please ask at reception, we do not issue fines for late returns.
