Minute 97. Minutes of the meeting held on the 8 February 2017
The minutes of the monthly meeting held on the 8 February 2017 were moved by Councillor R Massey and seconded by Councillor Mrs C Saul and were confirmed as a correct record.
Minute 98. District Councillors Reports
The District Council are in the process of disposing of two pieces of land one off Madeley Road the other off Crescent Road. District Councillors were asked for comments and they supported selling the land off Madeley Road for housing but opposed the disposal of land off Crescent Road for housing unless bungalows were to be built.
The compulsory acquisition of the shops on Cow Lane is ongoing. South Easth monies have been identified for demolition and tidying up the site.
The White Good Shop is for sale or rent.
Feed Your Family for a fiver. The event is on the 25th May.
Family Fun Day 10th August 2017.
Delay in putting grills on the culvert of the Dyke whilst a survey on voles is carried out.
Minute 99. Finance
The accounts for January 2017 in the sum of £3,055.29 and February 2017 in the sum of £958.03 were presented to members and moved by Councillor Mrs F Heptinstall and seconded by Counsillor Mrs C Saul and confirmed as a correct record.
Minute 100. Human Resources
A report was presented to members to increase the working hours of the Clerk from 7.5 hours to ten hours per week to take account of the additional workload and responsibilites.
Resolved: It was unanimously agreed that the working hours of the Clerk be increased to 10 hours per week from the 1st April 2017.

Minute 103. Havercroft and Ryhill Community Learning Centre
A new CCTV system is to be fitted with funds from South East Capital Funds
Kids Kitchen was held at the half term and was well supported. Further Kid Kitchen to be held during the August holidays one day per week.
Councillor Mrs F Heptinstall declared a personal interest
The Centre Manager because of practically no funding from the District Council has reduced the working days to one day per week. The Trustees are confident that with prudent savings and further funding the Community Learning Centre will be able to remain open for four days per week.

Minute 107. Havercroft Pond
The second stage has been completed and the spoil to be removed from around the pond over the weekend of 11/12 March.
Yellow Gorse bushes have been purchased for planting on the roadside banking.
Minute 108. Bush Wood
A draft lease has been drawn up allowing a smallholder to lease a field in Bush Wood for agricultural use on an annual basis for a lease payment of £500. Two ammendments to be made to the lease before approval at the April meeting.
Minute 109. Allotments
All allotment holders have been instructed to keep their Poultry in doors following information from DEFRA of outbreaks of Avian Flu, this restriction has been extended from the 28th February.
A letter of thanks be sent to Mr F Armitage for the collection of rents and payment of water charges.
The Clerk to meet with a contractor to look at stopping the flooding of allotments on the Brier Lane allotment site.
A skip to be provided on the Wimpey allotment site.
Parish Matters.
Traffic Sign Cow Lane still outstanding the Clerk to contact Wakefield Council. An accident occured outside Jacks Fish and Chip Shop involving a young girl. A broken sofa dumped outside the chemists.
