There are no dog bins in the vicinity of the Chemist Shop. A request be made to the District Council to provide one.

Minute 48. Minutes of the meeting held on the 12 July 2017
The minutes of the monthly meeting held on the 12 July 2017 were moved by Councillor Mrs C Saul and seconded by Councillor J Shaw and were confirmed as a correct record.
Minute 49. District Councillors Reports
The provision of Grills on the River Glass will be made up stream in 3 to 4 weeks and downstream following some works will be in January 2018.

(a) July and August 2017 Accounts
The accounts for July 2017 in the sum of £2,777.95 and August 2017 in the sum of £516.24 were presented to members and moved by Councillor I Sanders and seconded by Councillor R Massey and confirmed as a correct record.

(a) Wakefield Council. Filling of a Casual Vacancy.

(b) Makin Dixon Solicitors Free Legal Advice for people of Havercroft.
Minute 52. Planning
No planning applications or determinations.

Various amendments were made to the website
Minute 53. Havercroft and Ryhill Community Learning Centre
The Family Fun Day was a success with a good attendance and a variety of stalls and activities.
Kids Kitchen was well attended after a slow start 30 children attended.
The next Kids Kitchen will be in October subject to funding.
New Computers are to be provided for the Computer Room following receipt of a Grant
Currently thirteen people are attending an IT Class and Maths and English will commence on the 31st August.
The Crime Commissioner has said grants are available up to £5K from proceeds from crime.
Minute 54. Allotments
The vacant plot No. 5 on Brier Lane has now been let.
Minute 55. Havercroft Pond
Cleaning the reeds in the pond to be discussed at the next meeting.
Minute 56. Parish Council Insurance
A claim has been successfully repudiated.
Parish Matters
The signage is still a problem for heavy vehicle going through Havercroft towards Fitzwilliam and having to turn back because of the Low Bridge.
The possibility of purchasing new features for Cow Lane in 2018.
The lack of a litter bin outside Jacks Fish shop is a problem.
