Minutes of the Meeting of Havercroft-with-Cold Hiendley Parish Council held at Solid Rock Church on Wednesday 13th April 2022 at 7:15 p.m.

Minute 97 Declarations of Interest
Cllr Stockhill declared an interest in Agenda Item 8 as he has an allotment.
Minute 98 To approve the minutes of the Meeting held on 9th March 2022
Resolved to approve the minutes of the meeting held on Wednesday, 9th March 2022 proposed by Cllr Cotton and seconded by Cllr Ryan.
Minute 99 Public Representations
There were no representations from the public.
Minute 100 District Councillors’ Report
District Councillor Cummings gave her report:
A new bin at Bleakleys has been installed but not at the bus stop on Brier Lane or near Solid Rock.
The initial Boundary Review has recommended no change to the parish councils.
Kids Kitchen is held on Thursday during the school holidays at the Learning Centre and ‘Grab Bags’ are available for families.
Vouchers of £60 will be made available to all families on UC during the holidays and also to pensioners in early May, plus those on DLA/PIP will receive £50.
Minute 101 Cycle Forum
Representatives from the Wakefield District Cycle Forum attended to discuss cycle routes through Havercroft. The Council discussed removing a gate but declined permission as it prevents unwanted access and there are alternative routes.
Minute 102 Finance and Banking
Attendees were made aware of the current bank balances and approved three payments. It was noted that the provisional spend for 2021-22 was within £180 of the budget.
Minute 103 Update on Allotments
It was agreed to write to the tenants on the Wimpey Allotments to remind them of the rule regarding free range chickens.
The Council received correspondence regarding erecting a boundary fence around an allotment. This was agreed and the Clerk will check the maps and take photos.
Cllr Stockhill did not take part in the discussion.
Minute 104 Learning Centre & Business Units
Cllr Stockhill has made repairs to broken fittings.
Minute 105 Queen’s Jubilee Update
An update was given but further details to be discussed at the meeting on 21st April 2022.
Minute 106 Ongoing Issues – Rycroft Leisure Grant
It was noted that Chairman Ward Richards would be retiring within 2 years and it was agreed that he would be invited to speak to the Council prior to discuss grants made to Rycroft Leisure
Minute 107 Date and time of next meeting
Wednesday 18th May 2022 at the Learning Centre.
