Minutes of the meeting of Havercroft-with-Cold Hiendley Parish Council held in Havercroft and Ryhill Community Learning Centre on Wednesday 10 January 2018 at 7.00 pm.

Minute 80.   Declaration of Interest

Minute 81.   Minutes of the meeting held on the 13 December 2017

The minutes of the monthly meeting held on the 13 December 2017 were moved by Councillor Mrs C Saul and seconded by Councillor A Manifield and were confirmed as a correct record subject to the following deletion:  Minute 72 delete ‘The Monday Club has funding until April.’

 

Minute 82.   District Councillors Reports

A survey of land at Crescent Road showed that the local community wanted the land to be left as open space.

Proposals for a Fun Day in August.

A Kids Kitchen is to be held in February and funding is being sought for the remainder of the year.

Christmas Hampers were delivered to 22 families and 10 Old Aged Pensioners.

Problems with the chicane on Cow Lane if the sun is low it becomes difficult to see.

Parking is still a problem outside the Post Office and school, the Enforcement Team to make spot checks.

 

Minute 83.    Christmas Decorations

Costs are being obtained and a report to the February meeting.

 

Minute 84.  Finance

(a)  December 2017 Accounts

The accounts for December 2017 £17,110.55 were presented to members and moved by Councillor R Massey and seconded by Councillor E Brown and confirmed as a correct record.

(b)   Budget Estimates for 2018-2019

The Budget for 2018/2019 has been confirmed by the District Council which has resulted in a 1.95 decrease for Band ’D’.

(c)  Havercroft Community Group

Havercroft Community Group have ceased to function and they have granted the Parish Council the remainder of their finances.  This money is to be ring fenced for Environmental projects.

The Parish Council has acknowledged the receipt of this money.

 

Minute 85.      Havercroft and Ryhill Community Learning Centre

The leaks in the kitchen roof are being dealt with by R Greatorex Roofing Contractor.

The Grant Agreement for the installation of hardware and software from Wakefield Council has been signed by them and returned.

 

Minute 86.    Correspondence

A resident has declared that he is interested in becoming a Parish Councillor and is to meet with the Chairman and Vice Chairman and Clerk next Monday with a view to his co-option onto the Parish Council.

A meeting is to be arranged with HS2.

Minute 88.    Defibrillator

An order has been placed for the new defibrillator together with accessories and training.

 

Minute 89.   Allotments                                                                                                                               

An application has been received for an allotment on the Brier Lane site.

 

Parish Matters

The reeds in the pond need removing before April.

Fields in Trust WW1 100th Anniversary.

Removal of the Weight Watchers poster which has been erected without permission.

Three Street Lights at the Junction of Ten Lands Lane are not working properly only intermittently.
